The year 2022 was a year filled with success for Muclitech.

First, we pushed the limits of engineering by designing and manufacturing the Dahlia, our humidity control equipment. Many hours were spent improving its performance and this was no small task! Practically every month we built and tested a new prototype, which allowed us to achieve a dehumidification rate of more than one liter per hour per Dahlia. This is huge when you think about the dehumidifiers in our homes that dehumidify at a rate of 2 liters per day. In addition, we have filed a provisional patent on this device.

On the business development side, we have signed 3 important contracts. Our biggest project will be to commission 280 Dahlias in a greenhouse in the North of Montreal. This project comes with a $700,000 grant from Techno-climat for carbon emission reduction. We also have other opportunities in front of us, including a firm order book of more than 800 units, that is to say the entire production of the next 2 years.

Then, we started the production of Dahlias. These are manufactured by adding material (3D printing). In January 2023, we tripled our production capacity. Thanks to our first workspace obtained in 2022, we were able to concentrate production and R&D activities in the same place and optimize our processes.

Finally, we have had many collaborators who believed in us, such as the ACET, the Agtech Zone, PME-MTL as well as the governments of Quebec and Canada. We are fortunate to be so well supported.

We are looking forward to 2023 and have great projects on the horizon. As early as January, we plan to put into service about 40 Dahlias in a vertical farm. We are also looking for investors interested in helping us grow faster and build a new production facility.
